Jay Mehciz is a multidisciplinary creative, entrepreneur, and change-maker. As the Founder/CEO of Second String Entertainment, Jay leads a company built on the belief that creativity should be authentic where ideas are shaped with intention and vision is brought to life with clarity.

As an actor, athlete, sneaker reseller, music artist, and content creator, Jay carries a lived understanding of culture and community. These experiences shaped a versatile creative lens that is embedded into the DNA of Second String: creative direction grounded in lived perspective.

Jay graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Communication and Entrepreneurship, where he also served as President of Wake Studios, the university’s student-run production organization supporting emerging storytellers.

As a young entrepreneur, Jay is committed to producing work that feels authentic, creative, and inspiring especially in spaces where representation and voice matter most. His leadership reflects the belief that creativity is more than visuals; it is a tool for connection, empowerment, and belonging.
